Our Work: The Empowering Educators Series
Research in 2019 showed that many educators wanted to have conversations about race with their students but did not feel prepared to do so. In partnership with First Book and Pizza Hut, The Project 2043 Institute served as the architect of the Empowering Educators Series – a collection of expert-informed resources to help educators have meaningful conversations about race with their students. The Project 2043 Institute developed and authored a 50-page guidebook and served as content director for a supporting 10-part video series. To date, the guidebook has been downloaded by more than 13,000 educators. First Book won the Engage for Good Gold Halo Award for Best Educational Initiative in 2021 for this series.
The Project 2043 Institute is proud that our work was the cornerstone of such a prestigious award. To download the guidebook for free, please click here.
